"dpur" is short for Desire Paths, Untethered Roves, a phrase for the essence of human movement and travel. dpur.bluishmedia is an archive of the experiences and thoughts that take shape along the way: essays and travelogues in Japanese and English, plus short fiction in Japanese only, built from nothing but text and coordinates (a map). Written by cross-lingual editor, writer kkyam and slow writer riito_s, these pieces are records of standing in one place at one moment, fragments of memory that were meant to vanish. Words are imperfect and fleeting, and we know it. Still, this site tries to leave a trace of people passing through a place.
Every article carries a blockchain timestamp by OpenTimestamps, and there are no social links or like buttons. If the words recorded here ever find someone somewhere, the way travelers happen to cross paths, that would be joy enough for a writer.
